Dumb question - are you looking for backlinks?
I'm posting an article below written by RT Cunningham of Untwisted Vortex. I have known RT for a while now and he has created a site which will enable users to obtain "relevant" one-way backlinks from within the community. I'm not a sales man so I'll tell you up front that it will cost you $12 a month to join. This isn't a pitch to make money though and $12 is cheap anyway - this is a pitch to see if anyone is interested. I'll let him explain the system below but I want to mention that this wont work unless we get enough people interested. One hundred would be good - a thousand even better. Is it Black Hat? Let's call it grey.
RT offered me $6 a signup (you get the same deal as an affiliate) but I have removed my affiliate link from the article - I don't want you to think I'm doing this for the money - I'm doing this because I myself would like to find another "network" for building links. This could be the best yet but not unless we get enough people to join who understand the value of "relevant keyword anchored" backlinks. I would have made the system free to use but RT is wary of the amount of spammers it would attract and settled on a small fee. Most link networks run $150 per month.
Btw - I say we but I am not involved as a business partner or agent of any kind - just a user and it's in my interest to convince as many of you to join up as I can. I want this to work.
Many of you know RT so I don't need to hype him - he's a good guy testing out an idea that should work. Nothing is certian as we all know things like this depend on the active participation of others. We all know how that usually turns out.
Is this Google safe? Nope - nothing is but this is about as hard to track down as anything I have seen. Hard because the links will all be from relevant sites - using relevant anchored keywords - and contained in a real post. These - in case I haven't mentioned it more than 100 times - are the best links that you can get. Bar none. They are also the absolute hardest for competitors and Google to spot let alone penalize. Remember that 100 or so links like these are what puts my new money making blog so high in the rankings, in a competitive niche, in less than 5 months. These kind of links are gold and as you all know are a real pain to get. The difficulty in getting them is also why Google weights them so heavily. Conversely do-follow comments are easy to get and not endorsed by the site owner and hence have little juice - if any these days.
Well that's about as sales pitchy as I can get. If you have niche sites built then you need links. I hope we can all work together and help each other out.
I'll hand this over to RT now...

R.T. Cunningham - ConnectContent.com
As Griz has mentioned many times on both of his make money online blogs, there are multiple ways to build backlinks. I don't want to spend any time rehashing what works because I want to emphasize a different and possibly better approach to building backlinks. Before I do that, however, I want to quickly mention what doesn't work very well.
Comment Chasing
A whole lot of people spend a whole lot of time commenting on "do follow" blogs in their efforts to build backlinks. There are several problems with this tactic. If the blog owner doesn't delete your keyword anchored in the name field, chances are that your keyword still won't be related to the topic at hand. While experts may tell you that any backlink is better than no backlink, backlinks that have little relevance don't do much -- they don't carry any link authority.
Reciprocal Link Exchanges
Besides carrying far less weight than one-way links, reciprocal link exchanges between relevant blogs takes up a lot of time. In my opinion, that time is far better spent on working out one-way link exchanges. One-way link exchanges are actually the same thing as reciprocal links, but without being directly linked. Party A links to one of party B's posts and party B links to one of party A's posts but from a different post.
The hardest part about link exchanges of any kind is getting the links with the right, targeted anchor terms. Anchor terms that point to blog post titles, blog titles, blog author names, etc. are just about worthless most of the time.
The White Hat Google Game
If you read what Google has to say about link exchanges, you have to write content that naturally compels readers to link to the source to be completely safe. It's a nice thought, but it doesn't work in the real world unless you're a socially popular blogger.
That kind of thing defeats the purpose of targeting search visitors in the first place and doesn't make any money for you or for Google. In my personal opinion, it's a smokescreen for what they really want you to do and I'll leave it at that.
What Always Works
Linking from within a post to another post on another blog with targeted, relevant anchor terms will always carry the greatest amount of link authority. You can get very few links of this kind and literally watch an optimized post rise to page 1 of the Google SERPS if it doesn't have too much competition. If you get a lot of links of this kind, you'll destroy the competition.
This is where ConnectContent comes into the picture. It's all about embedding relevant anchor terms into older posts or creating new posts around relevant anchor terms. The procedure is so simple, it's almost ridiculous. You list your desired anchor terms and where you want them to point to and other people grab that information and put it to work. The site takes care of the tracking part of it.
It isn't free ($12.00/month or $120.00/year) even though I think it should be. The problem with providing a powerful tool like this for free is that the scammers and spammers would come out of the woodwork to take advantage of it while everyone else would get left behind. Not only that, but I think the generous 50% commission could really be another asset for anyone able to drive the affiliate sales.
Would you get penalized by Google?
Since I announced the public launch of ConnectContent, the most frequently asked question has been "Does it leave a footprint that Google can detect?" The short answer is "No, not if you do it the way you're supposed to do it."
Ever since people were slapped by Google for doing sponsored posts (paid links), something I call "Google Paranoia" has set in. Everyone seems to be worried about getting penalized by Google for one thing or another. I think the biggest problem is that people refuse to read, or they don't understand, the Google webmaster guidelines concerning - Webmaster Help Center" link schemes.
Google talks about excessive link exchanges, both reciprocal and otherwise. In other places, Google talks about relevance. The Google search engine algorithms are all designed around relevance because that's where they make their money -- by showing AdSense targeted to specific content. Their automated spam detection techniques are also based around relevance. Their algorithms, other than checking for duplicate content, are very good.
ConnectContent is a link exchange in the loosest meaning of the phrase, and not much more than the web as a whole. The entire purpose of the network is to list what you want as anchor terms as opposed to people guessing what you want. There is no guarantee that your requested terms will ever get linked to and that's what sets it apart from other networks and it's why I think it wouldn't matter to Google even if they knew what links were being generated and where.
Despite my beliefs, I don't want to make it easy for anyone (not necessarily Google) to see what's going on. No real names are ever used and nothing is publicly displayed outside of the network. I'm more concerned with malicious individuals (your competitors) than I am with Google. The gist of all this is that producing logical and relevant backlinks should never incur the wrath of Google.

Thanks RT.
Nothing more to add other than I hope you will give this a shot. Follow the link if interested and thanks for reading. ConnectContent

Project Payday - A Legit Method to Make Money at Home
I have included Project Payday on my blog for all of my readers who write in asking if there are any legit online programs that they can use to make some quick money. Project Payday is not a get rich quick scheme - it is more like a work at home job. You don't need a blog or website as it involves getting paid to try out trial offers from online advertisers. There is work to this but you can realistically earn a couple of hundred dollars a day if you want to put in the effort.
I have written several posts about this and suggest you start with this one. Project Payday
Unfortunately Project Payday is only available to American users at this time.
CashCrate is another similar program (you get paid to take trial offers for products, services or completing online surveys etc.) Cashcrate does accept people world wide and they have a decent selection for Canadian and UK residents. If you are American then you will benefit the most as you have the most offers to choose from. Btw - it's free to join.
A Little Heart to Heart
You have probably figured out by now that you aren't going to find the answer in a $47 ebook or by following your favorite twit on twitter. The fact is many of you are still wondering how this plain free hosted Blogger blog dominates the rankings on the search engines - right? Did you find this site by typing in "make money online" in Google?
If you did then you are halfway to learning the secret to making money online - you need targeted traffic from the search engines (for any niche you pick) and once you have that, you can sell them what they are looking for. Sounds simple and on paper it is - actually dominating the search engines is the hard part. It takes time and you do need to understand keywords and anchor text links. You can spend time on this site and sift through my posts to learn this or you can do yourself a favor and pony up one buck and test drive Court's Keyword Academy Crash Course for a month and learn just why I rank number 1 in the search engines.
This isn't another waste of money or time - just an honest answer for the few of you willing to do the work and who really do want to make a long term sustainable living online. Read my blog from back to front or try a more focused approach with Court - either way you will not be disappointed.
Cheers

I can vouch that this is an awesome system and support it 100%. You guys have to check this out! You won't find a better deal anywhere else.
Support Connect Content!
Thanks for the support Stephen.
I've been a member of ConnectContent.com since the testing stage and I've seen it working. It is a great way to get good, anchored, relevant backlinks much faster than spending long hours and days trying to chase those high PR, do-follow blog posts to comment on. The system is very easy to use and RT offers excellent support for the members.
Hi Simonne - thanks for the support as well. Let's hope this takes off.
I have noticed a better Google ranking on a number of affiliate pages after following some instructions on blog commenting. It takes some time but seems to work. The weird thing is that Google won't list any of the backlinks in their search when you use the "link:" search string.
ConnectContent is an excellent managed network and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in quality keyword targeted links.
Hi Grizzly,
This sounds like a great opportunity to be involved in working with other like minded marketers. Count me in I'm going over there now.
Thanks for the heads up.
Hi Grizz, sorry my initial comment about ConnectContent was so brief. I was having trouble with your new comment system. Yeah!, I love that I can subscribe to comments on posts now. ;)
Griz you've got to stop posting about stuff that I'm wondering about. It's too damn helpful. =) First the post about adding AdSense after my comment in another post, and now RTs network that I was just asking about on his site. I have just signed up, so we'll see what happens.
I can also vouch for this system. Anyone who's looking to increase his or her quality keyword targeted backlinks, in order to make money online, has to check this out. Also, RT's done an excellent job here creating a system which works just about as smooth as can be.
Daniel
Can you provide some clarification on the 'workings' of the system? My initial understanding (haven't had my coffee yet) is that you essentially post up to the community the anchors you would like to be linked through then wait to see if anyone does.
how then will this provide a consistent benefit to all users? Say someone posts 100 articles with links to other users and gets none in return? How do you/can you guarantee others will link to a user's site(s)?
--korr
Thanks for the post, Griz. And thanks for the heads up, Aaron.
Over 1000 backlinks have been generated since the testing started and I've seen some SERPS activity on some of the members (including me) as well.
Here's looking at the magic 1000 number. :-)
Thanks RT - I think I'll leave the questions like Korr's for you to answer - I'll bugger it up and of course I AM Lazy...
Hi Korr,
I monitor both incoming and outgoing links for each member. If a member doesn't do what he or she should be doing, his or her anchors get blocked. I had it on automatic until recently because I was spending all my time working on the backend. Now that the backend is done, I can watch it like a hawk.
I also have an automated link checker running daily via cron to catch anyone removing links after getting credit for them.
Anyone using the system and viewing the statistics every time they log on can see what's happening from day to day and how it's virtually impossible to manipulate anyone.
I got it covered, Griz. I'll check in from time to time. I'm several hours past my bedtime (15 hours ahead of my wife's time), so I probably won't be back until I get some sleep.
ooops - good point RT - I should have mentioned that you are in the Philippines and should be sleeping right now... we'll catch you later.
I am definitely in.
From browsing the message board, it looks like this is really helping some folks already.
@ Korprit Zombie: I wondered the same thing initially, but it really looks like connect content has safe guards built in to prevent this. There are stats on all members with backlinks they've given and taken so they are given an overall score. RT has also said that he will remove members who are not adding value to the network; spammers, people taking down links, etc. I decided to sign up, and seeing that Griz has now given it the thumbs up I feel even better about my choice.
Sounds interesting. How does this service compare to Linkvana?
RayRay,
Same kind of links but on much better sites and harder to track - much harder.
@ DietClense: Funny thing about the link query at Google. In my opinion it isn't very accurate at all. I have some very aged sites that still don't show any links although I know they have hundreds as I built them all by hand.
What I've been using lately is Yahoo Site Explorer. Just Google it. Ha! Put in your domain and it will give you a list of the sites that link to yours. Pretty cool. I try not to get to wrapped up in the results though as what really matters is that I'm building the links (I know I am) and getting the traffic. Oh, and Blogger links are nofollow. =)
Ok you've convinced me :) I'll give it a shot
Gotafish
Hey nice to hear from you gotafish - have wondered how you are making out. Hope all is well.
Hey Grizz, greetings everyone!
Just wanted to mention that I'm also a member of RT's network and I've seen a good serp improvement for one of my niche blogs after receiving like 7 keyword anchored backlinks from relevant niche blogs with similar page titles and relevant content. I highly recommend ConnectContent to all that are struggling hard to get the the best juice for your sites.
However, it's not about buying links here. It's all about reciprocal help. If you don't offer backlinks for other members you don't receive any.
Cheers,
Ion
Another charter member here. On top of everything else mentioned, RT keeps you up to date with e-mail updates. I'm trying to keep up with new links now.
Hi Grizz,
I've just read this article and anything about backlinks and backlink sources absolutely thrills me... why? because they are so darned time consuming and sometimes a task to find... signed...Veraz
Hi there,
Are newbies welcome to the exchange? I'm thinking my sites are too new for the links to be valuable to others, especially well-established sites...but I still have a lot to read on this blog, so maybe that's not as important as I think?
So I guess I'm asking is: I'm new, but can I come play too?
Thanks in advance
Is it ok for people like me who are brand new and don't have any strong aged website to join the network? In other words, any qualification required being able to join?
Hey Griz:
This sounds pretty good, especially for those of us with fairly new niches. Plan to check it out once I get back in town. Thanks for another great tip.
Grizz,
How do you do it? You just keep cranking out these amazing posts!
Thanks for all the help. It is greatly appreciated.
Are people using this system for flagship money sites or to build links for farm sites?
I can also vouch for the network. It has really worked well for me and I can't think of a better way to do a link network. It has built-in incentives and the variety/quality of the links is hard compete with. I also think it is nearly impossible to track because the links are exactly what legitimate white hat links are supposed to look like. Thanks RT... and Griz for promoting :)
This is a cute idea and an opportunity that doesn't not come along everyday, so I have already signed up. See you on the inside!
And thanks for the heads-up guys.
Dave.
Nick & Crystal,
All are welcome - anchored backlinks should come from all levels of blog authority - it looks more natural. New blogs are just as useful in the overall scheme of things.
GW,
It's up to you what you want to use. This system should be safe enough for any site.
Hi Griz,
I've been using RT's system since the testing stage too and can also vouch for its effectiveness. Its a solid, easy to use system that anyone who gets involved will see improvements in their SERPs rankings.
Thanks Terry - I had no idea of how many of the gang were already involved in this. I'd say it is off to a good start then.
hey, Grizz and RT - thanks for the help, once again... i too am pretty new to this, but i've understood what i need to do. i just signed up :)
salamat!
Just to add in some sugar and honey, I vouch for this network too. Have been with RT the day he started this.
If Griz is in, I'm in. I'll go check it out.
Oh sure... put the pressure on me Bruce. Ha.
If Griz doesn't say much about it, it must be decent... Seeya on the other side.
Thanks for fielding the questions, Griz. Sleep does wonders. I just got slammed with a ton of email -- much more than I'm used to receiving during my sleep.
I'll answer new questions now, so you get back to taking care of your business. Dang it! Another email just popped in.
RT.
Morning sleepy head - it's all yours and I'm glad you are getting some responses.
I have been on RT's network from the start and results are already showing up on two of my sites. As far as I can tell, signing up is a no-brainer.
Hey I too am on the Connect Content Network. Been on since it got going also. RT has done one heck of a job with the new site. I am so happy to finally be able to get those anchored backlinks. RT was worried this opportunity may not take wings. It sounds like he has opened a huge can of worms now. With your support Grizz this is going to grow like wild fire. I am glad to see so many new people jumping on board. This is only going to help us all out. It is not a free ride cause you do have to do your part, but for what you have to do it is a whole lot easier and valuable than doing hundreds of comments.
Thanks Grizz for your support and contribution.
I have being a member since the testing phase and it really is a cool system. More you give the more you get :)
Responses? I hope it isn't like this every day. I won't be able to get anything else done, ever. LOL
I am convinced! Griz, you always managed to solve those worries that i have before i can managed to ask them. Thanks.
But still i am still seeing good results with blog comments(as u can see):) and will still continue with it.
Jared
At twelve bucks a month, what do you have to lose (besides the twelve dollars). Certainly worth a shot.
Larry,
Nothing more than a couple of cups of coffee at Starbucks. :-)
Provided this can operate mildly undetected with minimal footprints and measurable results then why not!
Just remember Google has a mean backhand and will do evil in order to maintain algorithmic integrity!
RT, I have two quick questions.
I just signed up and started reading how it all works. It seems that some anchors are going to get all the links as they are more common than others. What I am wondering is that all the more mainstream anchors will get used and the longer, harder ones will never get used as no one will have a blog pertaining to that subject. Also, the longer the anchor the less likely someone will use it for a link. Is this correct?
Second, it looks like everyone is linking back to specific posts in blogs and not the blog URL itself. Can we ask for links to our main blog URL or does it have to be posts within the blog?
Thanks and goodnight.
I just signed up - cant wait to try this out :)
Bruce,
Blog, blog post, or blog page, it doesn't matter. You're right, the long tails may get ignored for a while, at least until we get members within those niches.
I have a plan, however, to make that less of an issue over the long term. The most important thing is to allow variable terms, even for the long tails. Put them in 10 different times if you want to be sure to get one of them linked to. There's no limit and there never will be.
The more link requests you ask for the more you expose all your niches and blogs. This is a drawback for someone who is paranoid and likes to fly under the radar.
If you participate in Griz's link exchange at least you are only divulging sites to one person at a time.
RT
One question: Using the requested anchor texts, on what basis do we get the reciprocal link? One on one?
Yan
This sounds really great, I will definitely sign up! Thanks guys!
looks interesting but your site https://connectcontent.com/ is not loading....
"connectcontent.com uses an invalid security certificate."
Shawn, if you have a killer niche that you already rank well in, then you wouldn't need to submit it to the group.
If you have a killer niche that you don't rank well in, then you need links to rank well and you would have to reveal it anyway.
Better to reveal some of your niches to a group who are mostly too busy working on their own to be interested in yours in any case, as you'll be getting the bulk of the links and will outrank anyone else.
If a niche is too precious to reveal, then simply don't reveal it! Get links to sites in a related niche, then use those sites to link to your hidden niche sites.
Hmmm... one person at a time. All it takes is one person to cause any kind of trouble. If I was that kind of paranoid, I'd be doing something besides trying to make money online. You can hide from people, but you can't hide from the search engines and that still brings in people.
Yan, this isn't one on one. It's getting them worked in as you can. Everyone else is trying to do that as well and that's what's working. I've only had to block 2 or 3 people so far because they haven't logged in in 3 weeks.
Hello everyone,
One question:
Portuguese blogs can join in?
If can do, then, im on.
If Grizz say`s that works, i`m on ...
And i don`t want to put you on pressure, my friend Grizz, but, if you said its ok, then i dont need to check it, all i need is your word ...
I´ll post about it on my portguese blog also.
Cumps to all ...
Keep on going with the good work.
Artur
HOLY COW! If you have a lot of blogs (as I do), you can spend all weekend doing this (as I will and maybe all of next week too).
I'm in the process of giving out a lot of links and then I will have to put all my link requests in to see if I get any back.
Artur, RT runs a Philippines blog so you can put yours in but I think it needs to be in English
Hi Griz
Do you have to have a minimum page rank or minimum number of articles to belong to this network? Thanks.
I'm not Griz, but I'll answer. No minimum PR and no minimum number of articles.
You can build articles around some of the anchor terms provided and beef up your blog quickly.
Hagai,
You can check the security certificate from the browser. It just validates the domain and nothing more. If you can't get past the warning, you need to upgrade your browser.
Hello fellow bloggers
@ Bruce,
I`ve a bunch of portuguese blogs in a bunch of nichs, but they are all in PT-BR.
I`m too lasy to write in english, and my english is a bit rusty ....
But maybe it`s time to write some in EN.
@ RT
Didn`t you have some PT blogs allready on to it?
The Brasilian and Portuguese market is a 100 million people.
Cumps,
Artur
Hi Griz,
It's really a great post. I'M sure that this thing is going to work. i'll sure give it a try after getting my first income.
Artur, as long as they're written in English (even broken English) they can get in. I can't let something in that I can't read (like Japanese). I can even deal with some Spanish, but PT is out of my league.
Look on the bright side Artur,
You can now recreate your entire website portfolio, using a translation service like google and make even more money :-)
I really like the information,it is true and straight to the point! A lot of blogs like to mislead you and beat around the bush
Griz, I noticed you removed the Blogger search bar... I know it's nice not to have it as it does improve look and feel (I do it on my niche blogs), but I must say that I miss it on your blog because it allowed me to search for a keyword and find your posts that have related content... This blog is like an encyclopedia but now without the search function. Any chance you'll be putting a search function on this blog?
Count me in, I'm heading there now to sign up!
Grizz,
I had a question that's a little off-topic, but it was hard to find throughout the mountains of info that you have here.
If I'm submitting articles to get backlinks, what is the hurt-factor of doing duplicate articles?
Isn't this just reciprocal linking within the network?
grizz,
take a look at this:
http://www.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=115764
its called the search wiki through wich ne1 can personalize their results...do u think this will affect our results in the SERPS ..
Cool I am definitely in but I will be gone for the next two weeks. SoI plan on signing up Jan. 2 when I get back from Vacation.
Wondering if there is a Forum at this Website ? If not could we get one ?? It would be benficial to share ideas wih other like minded Marketers and since we would all be Paying Members it would be for serious people. We could call ourselves The Griz Gang ;)
I think that this system is not an end all to getting traffic. It complements one's arsenal of tools however. Seo is a moving target, just like the comment above mentioned Google has moved on to personalized search results and users can contribute to the way their SERPS appear when they are logged in. Something to keep in mind...
Nice post. You have a great blog.
I know it's nice not to have it as it does improve look and feel (I do it on my niche blogs), but I must say that I miss it on your blog because it allowed me to search for a keyword and find your posts that have related content
Just search in google,
keyword site:makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com
Obviously "keyword" will change based on what you are searching, but the site:makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com is the same.
Yes, this site is an encyclopedia, especially when you include the comments threads.
Golf Fitness Swing Trainer,
If you call linking a to b, b to c, and c to a reciprocal linking, then you can call it that.
discrat,
There is a mini-support forum (without all the bells and whistles) at the site as well as a new blog.
bush shoe video,
It's definitely not the end all. It's just an effective way to continually get targeted backlinks.
Hi Grizz,
This is something that I've been looking for years and I'm sure RT did his best on it and of course I'm in.
FYI, I dug every single thing here since last 2 months ago and what I can say is, your blog is gold mine.
Michael Savannah,
I have added a toggle to turn the NavBar (Blogger Search Bar) on and off.
See the top of the sidebar
"Show/Hide Blogger Navigation" - just click on it to turn the NavBar on.
EddieBingo,
The hurt factor is still up in the air - duplicate articles appear to get indexed just fine despite what G says - therefor the link will be counted. If you want an article to rank well on it's own then best to use original content.
Bsnl,
It will affect the results for individual serp results for bloggers who use the function and may affect the regular serp results if enough people choose to "add" a URL for a particular keyword. Whether enough people will ever use this feature is unknown but chances are not very many.
Bush Shoe,
Personalized search results will affect the rankings but to what extent? How exactly does G decide what your favorites are? By which url's you click? If so it will just mean that those in the top spots will get the most clicks and hence - stay in the top spots. It has been around a while now and I have only seen my serp rankings increase across all my sites.
Grizz,
I plan on joining the network in January. Can we pay for the whole year up front? What is the policy for Do Follow-No Follow? I am trying to build up a blog with PR to get another site ranked that I want to sell to a law firm. My goal is to create a site that is static.
Griz,RT,
Quick question, can you offer opinion on the juice valuation if you are comparing say a pr5 comment link with an average of 20 comments anchored to one relevant keyword anchor in post on a pr0 or n/a page of a blog?
Trying to figure out which will get more google love.
Thanks
Matt
Grizz,
I have a question about testing niches. How long should you devote to testing a new niche? It takes a while to establish a site, build backlinks, etc. How much time and energy would you recommend when testing a new niche?
DennisJr,
Yes, there is a one year option that's $24 cheaper (overall) than month to month. I have one subscriber that's done that so far. And these are all "dofollow" links because they're in the posts themselves. I won't hesitate to boot someone for adding the "nofollow" attribute. I don't check all the links all the time, but I spot check them daily.
Matt,
I'm not sure I understand the question. PR loses juice with every link that isn't "nofollow" divide the 5 by the number of outgoing links on a page and you have how much that PR is actually worth to each outgoing link (if there are no incoming links to that page). Google ignores multiple occurrences of identical links and anchors on the same post as backlinks, but I'm pretty sure they still suck up the juice.
Larry G,
That's a tough question to give a single answer for. In general you know going in if a niche has substantial traffic for certain keywords and if you want to tackle a competitive niche then expect a year of work at least - maybe longer. If the niche is low competition then you should be able to dominate a few of the keywords in a month or two and get a read on how much traffic is available, how well it converts and how much room for growth you have. If you top the charts for the main keyword and traffic is dismal then time to move on...
For unknown niches I pretty much test the waters by writing a few posts and then spend a month or so gathering links - if the site starts ranking well and not much traffic follows I put it aside and try another. Your ability to do this will of course depend on your ability to procure backlinks.
Thanks Grizz. Just thought I'd let you know that down here in AZ winter has finally reared its ugly head...we might get down to 30 degrees tonight :)
LarryG
30 degrees above zero... not bad - not to out-do you (okay I will out-do you) the mercury is sitting at 37 degrees below zero as I write this - 58 below with the wind chill. To put that in perspective, your skin will freeze in less than two minutes if exposed.
But it's a dry cold....
Enjoy the heat wave Larry! lol
Grizz no wonder you rule the online world - you're not even allowed to go outside!
Down here in New Zealand it's been 75 degrees today. I'm blogging in my shorts only.
Just wanted to say big ups to RT and ConnectContent, I signed up yesterday and am very impressed. Looking forward to sharing some link love.

Mike from the Philippines
this totally works. and, the price is amazing. im signing up for sure. just need to get out of my lazy phase. Great job RT for developing this site!
Thanks, Sean. I look forward to seeing you there.
You're becoming a philippine idol griz. congratulations lol
Oh btw, convinced(forced) my gf to make a flagship for health niche, and without any link building it was indexed in less than two days.
Definitely sticking with blogger, like you said. My wordpress one took a lot longer even with article directories and being a..TS (lol) in forums posting a lot.
Do you think she should keep her "about me" widget + picture? Or does that not matter at all?
This is her blog selfimprovementforbeginners dot blogspot dot com.
Thanks

Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know that personalized results won't affect the SERP listings. The Google Wiki results team mentioned that it will only be visible in the iGoogle mode to the one that made the setup. The changes won't be visible to the organic traffic whatsoever.
Cheers ;)
I want to publicly thank Griz for getting this thing off the ground so quickly. Without his influence, it would still be successful (and it is, by the way) but the initial burst would have taken much longer, probably not until after the holidays.
I've seen PR increases for many of the blogs in the network and elevated SERPS results. What more can anyone ask?
Even a great product won't skyrocket without proper promotion.
ConnectContent members also thank Griz!
Grizz, thanks for pointing this out! These are really good information and a biiiig time saving!
Some months have passed since we've talked last time, and many things I've learned. I would like to leave my considerations, and I would like if possible what is your opinion, so here it goes:
There is nothing better than experimenting things, and that's the first rule of make money online and in life!!
Many persons think what must I really do to have success online?
Well, the answer is simple, BIG QUANTITY of sites/blogs and mostly FREE TOOLS!! Why?
Simple, that way you'll build the network you need to have backlinks and launch new sites all the time.
How to do it?
Simple again, use the free hosting companies (blogs and hosting and even some social "crap" sites), use the very cheap hosting companies (1$/month), and go for it. After a few hundreds of sites/blogs with hundreds/thousands pages each one (Not FULL SPAM), you’ll have success.
Alternatively, if you’ve luck, you can have a mega-ultra-super-single website, which is almost myth or just for a few dozens persons.
The problem here, and this is happening all the time to many of us, and you already said it, and many others have achieved the same conclusion, we know what is necessary to do, but we’re lazy or let’s call it, we’ve lack of focus in one objective, REALLY MONEY and act like crazy!
Regards,
Dinheiro
Hi Griz,
I like your blog very much. This blog has revealed many mysteries behind Google SEO. I just want to know something from you since no one has come up with satisfactory answer.
I have a blog makemoneyonlinetalks.blogspot.com which was flagged as spam recently and locked. If you have some spare time to take a look at it, it is not a spam blog.
My question is what is wrong with my blog and how can one avoid being flagged by Google bots.
Thanx
(I have not posted this comment for backlink. You can delete this but I would be obliged if you answer my question.)
Remember my $2 griz? Making $1 a day now, been like this for a week :D after only a month of screwing around.
Yeah baby I'm RICH!! I'm RICH! rofl.
I'm intrigued. I've looked at other networks, but they were cost prohibitive. How do I know there are niches that are relavent to our industry?
cd :O)
Vijay, I'm not Griz but I looked at your blog and what can I say...
1. If you are new into making money with adsense don't start a MMO blog, competition too high. (It seems a lot of people started doing MMO blogspot blogs after reading Griz's lessons on this blog lol)
2. Your blog looks too keyword stuffed and looks like another MFA. Dunno why it was flagged as spam, but it won't pass the visual inspection in case they take a look. And again you are targeting too competitive keywords. Work long tail niches - there is no money in the MMO niche for the beginners.
3. It's too poor man. Just add a few tricks and images here and there maybe an about me box or something. It looks like a farm blog. Google might consider it a spam site. (Even if you are building your small farm network build personalized blogs, ad pics, etc)
Best Regards,
Ion
Hey Vijay, pick a niche that you can own, and not it own you. lol Less than a million search results I think would be good.
I picked something to do with reptiles, been a month or so and I'm making $1/day. With like 10 backlinks (I found a better niche and put first blog on hold)
I think this is easier if you're doing it for fun, and not money.
Merry Christmas griz! I hope your wallet doesn't get too drained :P
Hey Griz,
FYI, not sure if you think it matters, or you did it on purpose, but I was looking back to see what you first post was and the title is mis spelled.
online is missing the "l" anyway just letting you know.

Great post, and 111 comments show it.
i'm starting a blog myself, have a look and tell what you think, if you can. ;)

So now its now about a month later...is everyone still loving it? I'm thinking of trying it out and wondered how everyone's doing now.
I was also wondering how the network was coming along?
Grizz,
Did you use this network for this blog? I am wondering if the PR SLAP could have come from CC? Did anyone else in the network receive the same slap of losing PR? Of course, you showed me that PR does not have anything to do with Serp Ranings. However, if G de-indexed the whole network that would be a issue.
Hi Alice, Hi DennisJr and anyone else I've missed. No one's been slapped in connection with CC. I'm tied to it visibly and haven't been, so I doubt anyone else would get slapped before me.
The network has its ups and downs and its starting another upward climb after a slow spell. I blame it on the playoffs.
And I haven't even advertised yet.
And now it has been another month, so I ask the same question - is everyone still loving this network - is it really working? would love an update if you have time, RT. How many subscribers, how many niches are available, how many websites are in the network??? RT are you doing all the work yourself or have you hired any help? Inquiring minds want to know.
@RT... I'm intereting also to hear..how many active sites/subscribers there are in the network right now?
Diane, Anonymous,
I don't track the sites and yes, this is a one-man job. Subscribership fluctuates so I'm hesitant to give firm numbers. We're nearing 150 members, but it will probably dip as I remove certain members (with refunds, of course).
Hey Griz,
I just wanted to ask you what is your opinion of Page Rank? I just got my blog for PR 0 to PR 3 using a link exchange service.
You guys can check out my blog post to get more details...
Best regards,
Remi
Hi Griz,
Thank you so much for all the information you share - Being a novice at this, I appreciate all your direct, no-frills advice! I noticed CC is not accepting new subscriptions. Is this really temporary, or did something happen?
