How to get two pages indexed on the serp's.
Have you ever wondered why Google will list 2 pages for some sites on the serp index and not others?
Here is an example...
This is quite simple to do and it should be done as you will see more traffic if you get two pages listed rather than one - if nothing else it makes your site stand out in the serp's.
To do this you need only write two separate posts on the same keyword and then simply link the second post to the first using the keyword in the link's anchor text.
I did this with my two recent posts regarding TNX.net entitled
tnx.net - caution alert
and then
tnx.net - part two
Besides the increase in traffic it also bumps one of your competitors off the page.
Try it - it's easy to do.
For those following my tnx.net campaign I received a visit from the owner this morning but he didn't leave a message. Oh well, I got his attention though.![]()
And that's it - a short one today folks!
Griz
oops - an important update for Amit...![]()
The following is a screenshot regarding some questions asked in the comments below - This is how to link your Post Title back to your homepage on Blogger.
and this is how it looks in Preview mode...
Another screenshot regarding another question in the comments below.
This is the related keywords and CPC info for the term Plasma TV.

If I was to target this niche I might go after some of the related terms that have a much better CPC than Plasma TV. The list below shows these keywords and the CPC. These don't get as many searches as Plasma TV but pay much better.
Totally Unrelated Note...
For those of you who frequent Blogging Zoom and Vic's Blog Blogger Unleashed you will have to be patient as both sites have been hacked and are currently down. Vic and Court are busy getting it fixed but wanted the word passed in case folks were wondering what was up.
Friday Morning Update: Vic has Blogger Unleashed back online and hopes to have Blogging Zoom up later today.

How to Get Double Indexing on Google
Labels: Double Serp Listing, tnx.net
Project Payday - A Legit Method to Make Money at Home
I have included Project Payday on my blog for all of my readers who write in asking if there are any legit online programs that they can use to make some quick money. Project Payday is not a get rich quick scheme - it is more like a work at home job. You don't need a blog or website as it involves getting paid to try out trial offers from online advertisers. There is work to this but you can realistically earn a couple of hundred dollars a day if you want to put in the effort.
I have written several posts about this and suggest you start with this one. Project Payday
Unfortunately Project Payday is only available to American and Canadian users at this time. Oh and it is free.
Note - After signing up take advantage of the Fast First Training link - you can learn how the IFW system works while making yourself a quick $50.00.

Great tip! I am going to start doing this with my local niche site.
Should help don't you think?
I've notice that happen with quite a lot of my blogs as I di tend to link back to the previous post to help with internal linking to help those nice bots to find everything.
But I never really gave it much heed til you just mentioned it - and certainly didn't realise that it took up two places on a page! Theoretically then, you could dominate a page with only 5 sites and the right set of circumstances...
PS: Yes, I know its the afternoon here and I should have my head down working my ass off on something else...
Hi Denise,
I definitely think so!
The more pages listed on Google the better - this goes for any site.
Terry I wrote a short post just for you so that you can't blame me for not getting anything done today!
Get to work!
ooooh so that's how they do it! Cool! I actually went back and edited my most recent post in an attempt to do just what you mentioned. Hopefully it will work. How long does it typically take for it to appear in search results?
Ha! I appreciate the short post, of course. But does that mean I'm hard at it, nose to the grindstone so to speak?
Fat chance!
Life is supposed to be fun as well - and I just had to write a post about that actor not really being dead! It was just too good a chance to pass up as the headline "Heath Ledger Not Really Dead" was unknown to Google (until 10 minutes ago!)... never mind ants scatching their asses!
Hi Lin,
I posted the second article yesterday and the serp was updated today. Sometimes I have seen it change on the same day as I post the second article. Either way it's usually pretty fast.
Terry I wondered if you would try it - you might get a bit of traffic but you had better turn your comments off! Lol.
OH MY GOD! IT WORKS! AND FAST! I just five minutes ago edited the post with my chosen keywords and BOOM There It Is double indexed!
Grizz, thank you! I'm doing my own little dance over here in grand appreciation. Yippeeeee! :)
that was my photograph below TNX and you did not mention my name ...
%^$@%!&*@(@*)_@@..
ha ha ha...
Lin...
Does that mean you doubted moi????
Well done!
Amit - an over site on my part that has been corrected. My sincere apologies.
Grizz, would this work the same way if we were to do the opposite of you mention, linking the older post to the newer one? Or does the Google God frown on that?
nice tip... i'll try this on my next posts... thanks..
Hi Grizzly,
I have 2 questions.
1) How long does it take to get out of Adsense smart price? My adsense ctr was hopeless for a long time but since I made some changes in ad placement, for the last month or so its been avg around 5%. But my overall ctr is still low. I still get 5-10 cent clicks mostly. thanks
-----------
btw I think this is my first comment here so I better introduce myself. I'm Mohamed and I've been reading your blog for about one month now (I across you via Costa at Blogging Gigs). Your tips are super. Thank you so much. I've learnt a lot in this little period.
Hey Griz, how do you add those Stumble Upon and other submit buttons like you have to my google search results. I love SU and Digg. It would be great to submit interesting articles while searches. thanks again
I love your articles -- they're written in non-technical terms that are easy to understand when I'm racing through blogs so quickly I don't have time to parse each post. I do have a question: I'm in TypePad and I'm not sure what you mean by "anchor text." Does it work just as well if you link a newer post to something in the body of the older post, or do I need to make a separate subtitle part of each post I write? Come to think of it, that probably wouldn't be a bad idea anyway...
If you can, would you please email me or comment on my blog with the answer? Thanks so much.
Lin,
Link both pages to each other. I should have mentioned that but forgot as my secondary pages all link to my home page. When this post falls from the home page I will lose the dbl post if I don't link between the two secondary pages. If this is confusing just link both pages together and you will be fine.
Thanks for the comment Lintek.
Hi Mohamed,
Nice to meet you - Costa writes a good blog and any friend of his is a friend of mine.
You can reset smart pricing by removing all adsense from your site or sites and waiting about a week.
I checked Planet Apex and I don't think you are smart priced - The Bugatti ads only cost advertisers $.40-$.60 for top spots on the serp listings which means content ads can be had for about $.20 a click which means you would only get half that.
I notice you post more than one article per page and while this is reader friendly it isn't adsense friendly as your page is getting mixed ads for cars and Various Dubai related terms. This means that your page is not highly targeted to one keyword and hence you won't get the best paying ads. Try one targeted post per page and see if you get better CPC. Again most of your problem is that you just don't have high paying keywords to begin with.
If you mean the stumble upon thing in my serp listing, I believe that is from an add on with my firefox browser. If you use firefox (It kicks IE's Ass) look for the stumbleupon add on at firefox. This will display the tags when searching on Google. (I think - been a while and I am not 100% positive - if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will correct me.)
FeeFi... Anchor text is just the name we use that refers to the actual words used in a hypertext link. ie. Your name feefifoto is a link here on the comments and your anchor text in that link is feefifoto.
You have to link to the second page's URL using the keyword (anchor text) you are indexed for. Go to my second tnx.net post and see how I linked the term (keyword) tnx.net Review in the first header (right below the post title) to my first post.
Hope this makes sense.
Griz
Another useful tip from Grizz!
It's official Grizz: your comments section for a post has finally, without a doubt exceeded the originating post in length! (or did I miss this occurence before?)
You mentioned the mighty Firefox: I thought some of your readers might appreciate a sight I just stumbled upon ( seobook.com ) that offers some interesting FREE SEO add ons for firefox (and IE) that might be relevant for this audience .
Thanks for the tip Stephen and you may be right - can't remember the last time the comments were longer than a post!
I'm slippin'
Wow, with all the work you have I didn't expect a reply so soon. I'm relieved to hear I'm not smart priced.
Thanks so much for having a look at my blog and giving your expert advice about it. I started the blog to improve my writing and share general knowledge news which I have loved from childhood. I didn't know about online money making or seo then. So yes, I post about a lot of different things in Planet Apex. now I'm hoping to make some keyword sniper sites when I get my first adsense check next month.
"I notice you post more than one article per page and while this is reader friendly it isn't adsense friendly as your page is getting mixed ads for cars and Various Dubai related terms."
Do you mean to have only one post in my homepage like you have? Can you please tell me more about this Griz.
I'm also using Firefox. What's the Firefox addon you use for toggling bookmark icon in serp's?
Also have you written about how to optimise a default blogspot blog for seo? I notice some special practices in this blog which I've never seen anywhere else, like Post Titles that link to the homepage and having only 1 post in the home page.
Mohamed,
In Blogger go to "Settings"
Go to "Formating"
set "Show" to 1 Posts
This will post 1 article only on your home page. To target the best Adsense ads only post 1 topic per page. If you want to post more than 1 on your home page then make sure all the posts are relevant to each other. (About the same topic)
To get your post Titles tolink to your homepage do the following...
In Blogger again go to;
Settings
Formatting
Show Title field - set to "Yes"
Show Link fields - set to "Yes"
That's it - when you write a new post you will see a link box below your post title and you add your homepage link in the box. (or any other URL if you wanted but don't - use it to link back to your homepage)
I checked my add ons and it must be a function of the Stumbeupon toolbar for firefox add on. That's what it's called "stumbleupon toolbar".
Good luck Mohamed
Griz,
Thank you so much. I'm now going to do the changes.
I have the SU toolbar btw. I must checkout it's settings. thanks again.
Grizz,
This tip is quite useful as are all of your others. I had been curious about the "indented" entry in Google but did not know how that occurred.
I have also read your Make Money Using Blogs series with great interest. Now I see why you advocate the 1 post per page and the link back to the homepage.
Thanks for the info!
Thanks Neena,
Yes there is a reason behind my madness... Glad to see it's all coming together for you.
Griz,
I made my homepage to show 1 post only. Unlike earlier now I'm already seeing targeted ads in my individual posts. My post about the world's largest palsma tv gets plasma tv ads, post about palm tree shaped Dubai islands get palm island ads etc. Do you think now I'll get more expensive ads like 1$ etc.?
Here is a firefox tip will be useful to your readers. I use the firefox AdBlock addon to block ads and it blocks adsense ads too. This not only saves bandwidth for me but I think it has help increased my CTR by maybe about 1% because I check my site several times a day.
Thanks Griz .. That was kool and kwik ...
On a more serious note you rock with your posts and every morning when I open up my igoogle I look forward to seeing your advice
Griz,
I probably read this in the dozens of articles I have read & reread on your site. Can you further explain you statement to Mohamad.
"That's it - when you write a new post you will see a link box below your post title and you add your homepage link in the box. (or any other URL if you wanted but don't - use it to link back to your homepage)"
More specifically, don't link back to your home page. Do you leave it blank or link it to another one of your articles?
Thanks again.
Dennis,
I may have confused you with this. What I am saying is that each post you write should have a link on it pointing back to your homepage. To do this with Blogger I always link the current post's title back to the homepage and this is done by adding your homepage URL in the box located just under the post title in "create a new post".
I just added a screenshot of this up above at the bottom of the current post.
Mohamed (Planet Apex),
You may get better clicks but this will depend on the keywords you target. As I said your Bugatti ads will never pay more than $.10 because it is a low competition keyword - not a lot of advertisers are bidding on it.
You might want to spend a few bucks and get keyword elite one day as it will show you the amount of money advertisers are paying for different keywords. (Or start and adwords account with Google and use their tool to get this info).
I just did a quick check on the keyword "Plasma TV" and you will likely get $.40 clicks for this ad if optimized well. The term "Plasma TV Stand" will likely pay about $1 a click though.
I added a screenshot in the post above showing keyword elite's results for "plasma TV"and related terms. The amounts posted for Adwords CPC is the amount advertisers are paying for a top spot on the right hand column in the search listings on Google. This is not what they pay for content ads that appear on your site - this is always less - maybe a third of what you see for the content ads and then you only get half of that amount as Google takes the other half.
Thanks for the clarification, I was doing it correct the whole time. I most like followed your directions before and continued on. I think you convinced me that I need to quit being so tight and cough up the money for Keyword Elite. Thanks again for the clarification on the CPC
Wow, so they pay 1$ for TV stands ads and 40 cents for ads of TV's that are worth several times a stand! And these small niches maybe having much less competition. I must explore this and other niches and see what I can target.
I can't say how thankful I'm to the superb advice and tips you gave me here. They are going to help me a lot.
Grizz,
Thanks for posting an update about BloggingZoom and Vic site. As soon as I noticed they were down I headed over to your site. This does show the benefit of creating a small network of friends. Hopefully in another 6 months I will be a positive contributor.
Hi Griz,
Guess you have too many emails to response to mine. Anyway, I took up your offer to add my pic to your bloglog (unless you meant another Fred).
Just one question here. When I started my blog (www.fredchanblog.com), I followed adviced from John Chow and Yaris (first timer mistake, I guess). One month later I found your blog and read all your articles in this site and your sister site.
I took up your advice. I have changed my blog Title and description to better reflect my main subject/niche but I can't do much about my URL. Do you think I should drop this domain name and site and start a blogger account with better URL?
If I maintain my current URL, I will be changing my theme to a more SEO theme (without the menu bar and more minimalist).
Hope you can give me some advice.
Everyday I check my google reader for your next feed.
Fred Chan
What a fantastic site! I was wondering if you would be interested in helping each other out in participating in a link exchange which involves simply swapping links with each other. If you are interested please check out my site which is http://make-money-data.blogspot.com/
Email: adammagpie92@yahoo.com.au
Hi Griz,
Nice to find your site. It looks like it will help me immensely. I'm new at all this, so I'm not going to ask a lot of questions (yet!). I think I need to read thru all your posts first, since you probably have a lot of the answers in here already.
But I was reading your take on celebs, sex, etc., and was wondering what you meant by scraping, where is that done? and if its somebody else's writing tweaked, how are you doing the SEO? I read your post and I think the next day Heath lit up, and it got me anxious. I don't think I can catch on this one. As is I have NO blogs yet, so I wonder if anything I would put up even be looked at for weeks?
Two final quickie questions: 1. What tools are essential to buy when getting started (for finding niches, etc); and 2. Is there a sequential way your blog reads? An order from someone just starting out to eventually progressing.
I have some knowledge as I have been reading various ebooks on it all, so I understand concepts, but not the actions (yet).
So, add me as one of your readers that your hypnotizing for a great big expensive info product and seminar one day!
Much Thanks,
Dart
Hey Griz,
Knew there was something I wasn't doing to getting a double index. Now I know, cheers.
Also, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog, much appreciated.
nice short tip griz. i've done this with "gaming entrecard" but couldn't get it done for my major keywords. thanks for the tip. and thanks for the heads up on my contests. appreciate it.
Lots of great tips! I think this is how I got indexed quickly with another blog of mine.
Great tip Griz,
I did this with a new niche blog I'm working on and now I'm at #6 with a double index position. I'll bet the sandbox is in my near future though.
Hey man,
I love this blog. When I saw this post I subscribed to your feed (by email) instantly! Thanks for the tip.
mark
I was looking at your images for the kewyord part of your post and was very intrigued with Keyword Elite and how you got those keywords. I am struggling to find keyword niches for Court's snipe blogs, and was wondering if you think this software would help?
I have some software called MicroNiche Finder that is somewhat similar and I also have Nichebot, but it seems this tool you used was better.
Can I get your thoughts on this and any input on what tool you think is the most effective in finding good adsense keywords.
Thanks.

lol Hey Frank C: I just went through this with a new niche movie blog of mine: I double indexed two posts about old movie trailers and it worked PERFECTLY, getting me into the 6th and 7th position for my LTK (long-tail keyword). A few days later and both posts are MIA from the serps BUT the post I put up since then has shown up, so I believe I'm not really sandboxed.
Grizz can tell you that I am not the only one to freak on here about this recently (it's all a matter of having some patience, I believe).
I was wondering why I am double-listed on Google. This explains that. Great post!
Nice piece of advice there. I had been linking up by accident. It does make your site really stand outand can double the traffic you see from that keyword.
Griz,
Can you tell me if your keywords hold the same weight if they are in different orders? IE:
"Making money online" vs "Online Making money"
I know transitioning sentences or paragraphs helps the flow of my articles if I were to rearrange the order of my keywords. However, I don't want to do it at the expense of keyword authority.
If anyone can answer this that would be appreciated.
Dennis,
It makes no difference.
Sorry I am behind on this blog but hope to be back soon and will deal with all the unanswered stuff above...
Griz
Thanks for the quick response. I figured it didn't make a difference. My years of being online and doing searches hinted it didn't. As far as being behind on answering questions that's OK, It gives me time read & reread some of your older stuff. I also figured you were working on another project. Thanks again.
To any reader here newer than me: Welcome to the rapidly growing group of followers -may you all become addicted ;)
To Dart:
Of course Grizz knows best where to start out new readers of his own Blog, however it has been my experience that reading through the series of posts 'how to make money with blogs'(found down the right hand margin of the page)is a safe bet; also the 'making money with adsense' series cant hurt; I would also suggest after that to sample the archives while keeping up with the current posts to keep yourself in the know.
Just my 2 cents. Good luck!
-stephen-
Great tip on the double link in Google. You have a great blog, keep up the good work!
