Make Money Online with Payday Loans

Huh? I know what your thinking, what does Payday Loans have to do with this blog or making money online? Let me explain or better yet I will show you how I can make money using Payday Loans.

I have been receiving requests from Payday Loan companies to run advertisements on this blog. For the most part they would like me to post their ads on my Project Payday pages. I rank well for that term and they seem to believe that they will generate some sales from people searching for Project Payday. I have my doubts but what do I know.

This prompted me to do a little research into the Payday loan business and I was blown away by the potential to make money from it.

Let me show you some of the results I found. (Click images on page to enlarge)



Don't worry about all the stats in the tool the only two metrics that concern me are; 1) The ratio between searches done for the term "Payday Loans" and the number of pages listed in the serp's for it. 2) The CPC that adword users are paying. Keyword Elite is a bit brain dead as usual but it did manage to list a few CPC campaigns which gives me a rough idea that people are paying a good dollar for their ads.

What is truly amazing with this is that there were 122,000 searches done for the term last month on yahoo - there would have been much more on Google. This is huge - not in the league of "free music downloads" but way more than "make money online" searches. On top of it all I can't believe that there are only 2,160,000 pages of competition. For those who are new to all this - that is nothing. "make money online" has 170 million competitors. (In my region - Google.ca)

It has taken me 11 months and a lot of work to rank 16 for "make money online" out of 170 million pages online.



When I see a term like "Payday Loans" with no competition and a huge search volume I can't pass up the opportunity to target the market.

Actually the competition is even slightly less when I do an "exact search".





So how do I do this and more importantly - why do I want to.

First let me show you something that happened because of a flippant remark I made on my last post. I don't want to type it again or I will just compound the error. You can see it in the following screenshot.



No sooner did I get that down in print than traffic started showing up looking for help creating those types of sites.

With one sentence I rank number 1 out of almost 2 million sites.



Another similar query I rank 7th out of 3 million sites.



My stat counter has been filled with various queries - needless to say traffic has increased.



Guess what else has increased? My adsense earnings.

That last sentence will explain why I want to rank well for Payday Loans. Potential traffic from 122 thousand plus searches can add a lot of money to my bottom line.

How do I rank well for this term? I'll show you, although this may be overkill as the competition are all PR2 and 3 sites. You saw how 1 sentence was enough to rank well for that "other" term. I may not need the following but what the heck.

I have shown you this as a primer for niche marketing. Normally I wouldn't do this on a blog like this but because the purpose here is to show beginners how to make money online I figured this was a good opportunity to show you how to find good markets and how to optimize your pages with the right keywords. I may or may not rank for "payday Loans" but chances are good. If I do then I can make money in two ways - the adsense revenue from increased traffic but more importantly I will have more advertisers looking to place their ad on this page. (and this page would at least be more relevant to loans than the project payday page.)

Normally I would set up a blog that exclusively targets this market, round up a few good backlinks and work at climbing the serp's with lots of relevant original content on the subject. The numbers for this little niche is outstanding and some of you may well give it a shot. I'm tempted but will leave it alone - my gift to you.

Oh... if you are reading this because you were looking for a payday loan my apologies but you might want to read my blog and learn how to supplement your income by learning how to make money online. It's not as fast as a payday loan but it might allow you to forgo loans in the future.
